All substrates must be clean, dry, and free from grease and loose contaminants (dust, old sealants).
Bonding surfaces should be degreased using acetone or methyl ethyl ketone (MEK). For sensitive materials, use alcohol (isopropanol or ethanol).
For concrete substrates, grinding is recommended to remove any cement laitance. This should be done with a wire brush, and the resulting dust should be removed.
To avoid staining the edges of joints and to achieve a straight line, mask the area around the joint with masking tape, which should be removed immediately after finishing.
Apply the product using a manual or pneumatic/electric gun. Smooth the applied sealant immediately after application using a spatula or putty knife moistened in a detergent solution (soap or dishwashing liquid) to reduce adhesion.
Clean tools and surfaces with white spirit immediately after use; once cured, remove mechanically.
